EPOCON 850  -  (NON-SAG EPOXY ADHESIVE/SECURITY SEALANT)

PRODUCT

Epocon 850 is a 100% solids two component paste consistency non-sag epoxy adhesive/sealant.  Epocon 850 is for caulking, bonding and repairing concrete, metal, glass, and wood on both dry and damp surfaces.  Excellent as a dowel and anchor bolt grouting adhesive and is a gap-filling adhesive/sealant.  Repairing cracked concrete, setting tiles, bonding decorative concrete blocks and patching spalled over-head areas.  Positive surface build-up on vertical walls without sagging is attainable.

TECHNICAL DATA

MIXING RATIO:  2 Parts "A" to 1 Part "B" by volume.  Mix until color streaks disappear and a uniform gray color is obtained.  Due to paste like consistency, it is recommended to mix mechanically with a slow speed drill.

COLOR: Part "A" - off white,  Part "B" - gray

MIXED PARTS: Concrete gray

CONSISTENCY: Very heavy paste, to easily allow surface build-up on vertical surfaces without sagging.

CURED CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Resistant to mild mineral acids, alkalis, detergents, solvents, hydraulic fluids, lubricating oils, salts, etc.

INSTALLATION

Application by trowel, putty knife, squeegee or caulking equipment.  Proper surface preparation such as sand-blasting, grinding, wire brushing or other suitable means as required is essential for proper adhesive or caulking performance.  Surfaces to receive adhesive or caulking must be structurally sound, dry, clean, free of dirt, water, loose particles, oil, grease, asphalt, tar, paint, wax, rust, waterproofing, curing and parting compounds, membrane materials, or any other contaminants which might prevent satisfactory bond and epoxy cure.  Thorough mixing of Epcon 850 using mechanical Jiffy mixer whenever possible, is essential for satisfactory performance.  Although it is of a paste consistency, Epocon 850 blends readily and is quite workable in its mixed state.  Always pay strict attention to ambient, and surface temperature of repair areas.  Selection of a Type "II" cold weather Epocon 850 may be dictated.

CLEAN UP

Use aromatic solvents such as Toluene, Xylene or MEK with uncured material only
