General Info

PU1000 is a high-quality adhesive based on modified polyurethanes.

Basic Uses

PU1000 has been developed for use in commercial construction including subfloor assembly, interior drywall installation, SIPS panels, EIFS systems, landscaping bricks/blocks and natural stone. This adhesive has excellent long-term resistance to weathering, water, acids and solvents.

Features & Benefits

  • 3 times stronger than conventional construction adhesives for a superior bond
  • 1 24-ounce can does the job of 6 to 10 28-ounce tubes (based on element’s construction)
  • Large reductions in cost and waste – no more bulky tubes filling up in dumpsters
  • 20-minute set time (can be adjusted)
  • Aggressive adhesion for general construction and landscaping applications
  • Can be applied at low temperatures
  • Good adhesion to a wide range of substrates, reducing the need to carry multiple products, simplifying ordering and inventory control

PU1000 is immediately available from your Chemtron or Tremco Sales Representative, distributor or warehouse.

Substrate Preparation

Substrates should be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, wax, oil and other substances likely to impair adhesion.

No priming is required on recommended substrates.

Apply straight 1/4” to 3/8” bead of adhesive to one surface of the material. Apply on approved substrates only. Press the surfaces firmly together within 3 to 10 minutes.

Clean Up

Immediately remove all excess adhesive. Cured adhesive may be removed using sharp-edged tool or mechanical abrasives. clean up should be done with solvents such as MEK, xylol or chlorinated solvents. Observe manufacturers precautions when using flammable solvents.
